Italy’s Enel intends to sell the assets in Romania till the end of the year

Italian power company Enel expects to sell its Slovak and Romanian assets till the end of the year. This was stated by the head of the company Francesco Starace, reports Rosbalt.
According to his words, Enel has already received specific proposals from the potential buyers, Starace have not named them though.
It was noted earlier that Enel plans to sell their Romanian and Slovakian assets for 4.4 billion euros. The company wants to sell 66% of Slovenske Elektrarne, whose proceeds in 2013 amounted 2.9 billion euros.
In particular, in Romania, Enel is to sell the company, which owns about 20% of the retail electricity market of the country. It has been noted by Enel’s representatives that this would become the part of redemption of the 6 billion company’s debt.
