Victory Parade Red Square 24. June 1945
This is the original victory parade the Soviet Union held in Red Square, June 24th, 1945. The Soviets only were able to obtain roughly twenty minutes worth of color film for this event, which unfortunately meant the entire parade could not be caught on color.
However, it was the first major Soviet event to be captured in color. This parade documents the Allies triumph over the Axis powers during the Second World War, the Soviet Union lost nearly thirty million of its people defending their motherland against Nazi Germany. May we never forget the struggle, or sacrifice of all Allied soldiers fighting against evil.
