Moscow offered Romanian PM to fly to China bypassing Russia
BSSB – Moldnews 30.08.2014
Russian air navigation services denied the request of the Romanian side for the flight of the aircraft of the Prime Minister Victor Ponta, en route to Beijing.
After a few hours of trial, the Russian side let the Romanian plane pass through its airspace, writes Moldnews.
Victor Ponta leaves to China at the end of the week. The path through the airspace of Russia is the most efficient way for a flight to China. The alternative to it is a longer path through Turkey.
Russian authorities’ behavior is a response to an incident in May, 2014, when Romania has not let the plane of the special representative of the President of Russia in matters of Transnistria, Dmitry Rogozin, pass through its airspace.
