Sociology shows that after the elections in Moldova on November 30 the representatives of the Communist Party could obtain full power.
Ukra News report that this statement was announced by the Deputy Director of the American Institute in Ukraine (AIU) James George Jatras.
“Support of the CP, which is based not so much on ideology, but on a personal Mr. Voronin’s trust, can provide the Communists a majority in parliament even without the participation of a representative of the Socialist Party Dodon. Thus, in view of the rising popularity of CP, there is a strong reason to believe that the Communists can win on Nov. 30 with no need to form a coalition”- said Jatras.
According to the results of sociological survey, the Communist Party could be leader and receive 40 mandates. On the second place is another party of the Left Front “Rodina” that could get 21 seats. The Liberal Democratic Party with 15 seats, the Socialist Party with 9 mandates, the Democratic Party of Moldova and the Liberal Party of Moldova – 7 and 6 seats respectively, follow them.
At the same time, it is noted that in this case, the factor of attractiveness of the doctrines and programs of CP is not so significant – only 15% of respondents stated that they are ready to vote for the Communists, because they like the party program.
At the same time, 26.8% of Moldovans assess the government’s actions as “bad” and 29% “very bad”, according to the author’s study.
